SEPTEMBER’S PHOTO CHALLENGE THEME: LIFE LESSONS

By Shelly Perry in Portland, OR

It’s that time of year again when yellow buses make their test-runs down neighborhood streets to get ready for the school year.

Kids head back to school, and students everywhere learn and grow with another year.

What are you learning about?

Pick up your camera and capture a “learning moment” for this month’s Photo Challenge. You can either photograph your kids or grandkids in a learning moment, or capture one of your own.

Acceptable entries include learning moments of all kinds, such as:

Learning a new hobby:

Continued education:

Learning to play a new instrument:

Kids teaching each other, or learning from a parent:

People studying :

Remember to keep in mind proper composition, good lighting, and clear focus on the subject.

Submissions for September’s Challenge are due by 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday, September 27, 2010. You can submit your photos by clicking on the "Enter to Win" tab on our website, http://www.thephotographerslife.com

This month’s first-place winner will get a $30 gift certificate to the AWAI E-Bookstore, and the first-, second-, and third-place winners will all be entered into the Hall of Fame to compete for next month’s annual $2,000 Grand Prize.
