Lori Allen
Director, AWAI Travel Division
P.S. A few weeks ago, Shelly told us that holiday-themed shots tend to be high-sellers on stock sites. I hope this month’s theme gets you out taking pictures you can also submit for stock. You’ll find Shelly’s article here.
Remember, too, that you can get hands-on practice and guidance from Shelly this March 13-15 in New Orleans at our Ultimate Money-Making Photography Workshop. Click on the link to grab your seat or call this number for a payment plan if you want to lock in the November discount but pay over the months to come: 202-370-6459.

ALL THAT GLITTERS
By Shelly Perry in Portland, OR
As Mother Nature shortens the days up here in the Northern Hemisphere, we do our best to compensate with flickering candle flames, sparkling Christmas lights, glittering tinsel, and shining bows. And, if we’re lucky, Mother Nature adds a little sparkle to our days with a fresh coating of snow and icicles.
This month’s theme is “All That Glitters.” So capture the shining season around you from the sparkle of lights to bright packages and bows, jeweled gifts, sequined dresses, sparkling decorations... or any other holiday glitter that catches your photography eye.
TIP: Play with different light situations, selective focus, and creative angles. And remember to keep your subject in mind while you shoot, eliminating other clutter. Think greeting-card-quality shots.
To enter, send in your ONE best theme-appropriate photo. Multiple entries from the same photographer will be deleted.
Submissions for December’s Photo Challenge are due by 8:00 a.m. EST on Monday, January 5. You can submit your photos by clicking on the "Enter to Win" link on our website: www.thephotographerslife.com.
Details about contest guidelines here.
