Paris Attendees: Final Farewell

Just three weeks before this Stock Photo Workshop in Paris, the attendees and I decided to change the itinerary and hold our first three days of class in a French chateau in Normandy and make a side trip to Mont Saint-Michel.

Back in the city, however, that meant we had a lot of ground to cover in just two short days.  We climbed to the top of Montmarte, took night photos of the Louvre, walked from Invalides to the Eiffel Tower, sipped chocolate chaud on Rue Cler.

We lunched on warm goat cheese salad and quiche.  And dined on lamb chops in garlic cream sauce and duck l’orange.

Last night’s farewell dinner felt like a parting of old friends even though we all just met five days ago.  So, as a tribute to our attendees (and a sneak peak for you into our lives over the last five days here in Paris), we created this final farewell collage of photos and videos of our time together.

I hope you like it:

P.S. P.P.S. Did you know that the Statue of Liberty was a gift to the U.S. from France and that Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor who designed it, is said to have modeled the face after Eugenie Boyer, the wife of Isaac Singer (the inventor of the sewing machine).  There are three small replicas of the Statue of Liberty here in Paris, and tomorrow, Terry and I are going to try and hunt them down.  I’ll keep you posted.
