Cropping Photos in Lightroom: Basic Post-Processing Tips from Shelly Perry
Dear Reader,
Yesterday I told you that I asked one of our previous Santa Fe workshop attendees to send me some photos so our own Shelly Perry could record herself critiquing them and provide you with tricks for cropping photos in Lightroom.
I want you to learn not only how to critique your own photos but also how to avoid making the same mistakes this attendee made in the first place.
Here's Shelly's video, with tips on cropping photos in Lightroom.
Our goals for this upcoming Santa Fe stock photography workshop, where you’ll have the opportunity to take pictures like this, are simple:
GOAL #1: To learn the ins and outs of breaking into online stock photography, where you can turn your photos of family, pets, even furniture and household items into a passive income stream... earning you money while you sleep.
GOAL #2: To enhance your portfolio with images from the Bonanza Creek Ranch and other locations in and around our hotel in Santa Fe. You’ll be guided by professional photographers there to help you set up your camera, get the right exposure, and otherwise help you build your portfolio.
GOAL #3: To learn Photoshop and Lightroom post-processing techniques that’ll make you look like a pro and help you sell more shots.
GOAL #4: To give you feedback on your work so you can see what mistakes you make, correct them, and never make them again.
We have a preliminary schedule posted online with prices and hotel details.
And remember -- as of 5:00PM yesterday, we had just 13 seats left. I won’t know till Monday morning, when the office opens back up, how many people responded to yesterday’s note. So if you’d like to sign up, you’d better do so fast. Before the last seat is gone.
Also, in case you missed it, here is the free guide I sent you yesterday:
** 101 Things You Can Get Paid to Photograph In And Around Your Hometown.
And here is the link to the recordings from our New Orleans event where you’ll find details on breaking into other markets (in addition to stock) like magazines, newspapers, websites and more during our 60% off close-out sale.
Have a good rest of your weekend!
-- Lori
P.S. Remember -- there were just 13 seats left for our upcoming Stock Photography Event in Santa Fe, NM this October when I left the office yesterday. The price goes up in September but we’ll likely sell out before then if we’re this close to being sold out now. Don’t wait and miss your chance to learn first-hand how to break into online stock photo agencies. You’ll find a schedule with pricing details and hotel rates, here.
