Readers' Photos: Wow, check out these pics...
Dear Reader,
I’m impressed. Yesterday, I sent out instructions for uploading three photos that show what kind of photographer you are... and maybe what kinds of photographs you’d like to learn how to sell.
And we got some really great pictures -- some of which you could turn around and sell to magazines right now according to Art Director, Alicia Noack.
Alicia has been the art director for a number of different publications including food journals, in-flight magazines and trade publications like the Port of Houston which includes travel articles about cruises, restaurants and environmental issues in and around the port. She works with photos (and photographers) all day, every day. And she really knows her stuff.
I called Alicia after looking through a few of these photos thought you might like to hear what she had to say. Click here for a recording of our call along with the pictures she chose as her favorites.
Alicia works a lot with food photography these days. And food photography is another travel-related photo niche to consider when you’re trying out different kinds of photography. We’ll talk about it in detail in Nashville this coming April 16-18.
Join us there -- no matter your photography experience (or lack thereof). We’re tailoring the entire workshop to your skill set this year by analyzing your shots ahead of time to determine which sessions you should attend.

P.S. As a special bonus this year, we’re giving all our Nashville attendees a copy of Alicia’s food photography tricks. Shortcuts like using a microwaved cotton ball to create steam in your photograph and lipstick to brighten your strawberries. You’ll find more details about this year’s event, here.
