American Profile
A weekly, four-color magazine that celebrates hometown American life. They contract
with professional photographers throughout the United States. To be considered for assignments,

Dog Fancy
A magazine for dog owners and enthusiasts. They welcome submissions
for all dog breeds, in every facet of life: running, jumping, napping, playing, training,

I Love Cats
A bi-monthly general interest magazine for the entire family. Possible cover shots
may have props in them, but the cat must dominate the image.

Has a particular interest in national and state parks, historic places, cities, little-known
or undiscovered places, train trips, cruises, and driving trips.

Northern Woodlands
Includes information on forestry, conservation, and wildlife. In both its articles
and photographs, the magazine attempts to capture the beauty and spirit of the forest.

Includes both the Oregon Coast and Northwest Travel. They are in
need of photos of the both the Oregon Coast and the Northwest for their magazines as
well as two annual four-color calendars that they publish.

Sierra
Publishes photographs pertaining to the natural world and the
environment. They review photographers? stock lists and samples, and then keep the names
of potential contributors on file. Photographers are contacted only when subjects they

Skydiving Magazine
Contains the latest news on the equipment, events, techniques, people, and places
of parachuting. They are looking for all kinds of images, as long as they relate to parachuting

Smithsonian Magazine
Obtains the majority of its photographs from assignments given to freelance photographers.
